I have never understood this parable. Really, now that I’m thinking about it, not one bit of it. Just seems like meanness and cruelty and a guy with wealth and power lording it over others and punishing them because they don’t do what he wants. (That part I understand as we have ample contemporary evidence that nothing has changed in that regard.) Can someone make sense of it, please? Thanks.

Rebecca, I’m with you. I had the same thought, particularly about not wearing the right wedding clothes.
