I got reminded I’m human today too. Thank you for all of your guidance during this. I know we don’t know each other, but being brave enough to call out what all has happened to myself and others if they choose might be more hard than what I have actually experienced itself. Your words mean so much to me. That’s how I know that you know Jesus.
Did Jesus ever get so broken that he almost gave up? I always prayed to take on the pain of the world and when I lost my vision I lost myself, but found myself even when I was cussing, drinking etc getting furious when I heard people saying things like he’s not real or just not believing in anything. That was a confusing time, so I’m just curious. I know Job took on a lot, and a lot about prophets, but, Jesus himself, did he ever feel this way? I never give up on people but I feel like it sometimes.
Jesus certainly demonstrated frustration with the disciples, religious leaders, Jerusalem, and the Jews as a whole. I don't know that in any of those situations he was close to giving up.
However, his time in the Garden of Gethsemane sure seems to be a pretty vulnerable point for him. You could read and really meditate on that short story. Matthew 25:36-46
